What people see in Tiesto? Well... for my part I love the album. I think it's really enjoyable music. I generally don't care for Tiesto's mixes too much. Should he be the most popular DJ in the world? I don't know... I don't really care until I'm number 2.

i don't like the new music, and new mixes has he put out.

he has had many good releases, but his popularity seems to be a whole lot of hype, and ignorance. a bet a lot of people say that they love tiesto because they really haven't tried out dance music very much beyond what tiesto has his name on.

im not saying he is like completely terrible... but there is just so much better out there.

he was one of the first mainstream DJs I heard that fit into some criteria I was looking for in dance music and mixes.  Yes, his earlier music and mixes are good, but latest isn't as good, that I can agree on.

Im pretty sure that most of the stuff that has his name on it that is good, wasn't actually produced by him. it is often a secret producer that gets paid for the track, but no credit for it.

Yeah... I wrote most of Elements of Life. That's why you're not that impressed.

I've had friends say he has a team of producers that help or do most of his writing, but who knows.

^ definitely true. i have heard it that it is sometimes multiple people. they are almost always dutch producers, and sometimes producers from the black hole label.

also. personal opinion, is that cor fijneman is behind lots of it.

You can't have that many releases combined with his touring schedule, without having other people produce tracks for you. It's nearly impossible. I think he is fake.

I think roughly the same thing when I see how much Cristian Paduraru has produced. He's got something over 1,400 tracks on beatport. All from the last 3 years. That's an average of 1.28 tracks a day ;)
