Wow... What a loaded question.

overall, probably Andy Hunter, but specific to club world, probably Stryke.

bigger in the christian scene? bigger in the secular scene?  or just over all?

In his photos at least, Joel doesn't seem real big. I seem to remember Andy being rather tall standing next to him at Jon Carlson's house. Not sure about Stryke. I think Shiloh would be the biggest. There's two of them, so they'd have the most mass.

Define "Biggest."

If biggest means "most prolific" then I guess right now it would have to be Joel,  because he seems to be all over the place.

If biggest means "most accomplished" then I'd say Shiloh,  based on the "Baroque: Elements" CD as well as various tracks on Global Underground,  Platypus mixes,  PvD,  etc.

If biggest means "most traveled/Plays out most" then the answer is Stryke.  Dude plays all over all the time.

It isn't. I had to go to the secret url and do it. The new site won't be like that. The reason things are all boogered up here is the joomla bridge which I'm only using to avoid skinning it properly.

The new site is all phpbb and nice. In fact, with the exception of the rss feed displays at the bottom of the page, the new boards are totally skinned and ready to go.

Shame the rest of the site isn't.

I voted for Shiloh, I see their name all over the place.
Joel would be second, for the same reason, just less of it.
Andy Hunter probably next, he's got a lot of play in movies, but not much recently, and I just don't see his name around.
Stryke I've never heard of, outside of him playing Cstone last year and this. Different style of music I guess.

Stryke's a bit odd b/c he's better know as a DJ than a producer. At least that's what I've noticed. So... you wouldn't see his name around as much.

It's honestly a close race between Shiloh and Stryke.  Shiloh's the more prolific producers,  Stryke is the more prolific DJ.  Joel's up there,  but still has a way to go.  Andy's not even close.

I saw Stryke in my latest Stanton newsletter.

he's been using that. He's kinda funny. He's got endorsements for blood and yet he constantly uses the "other guy's gear."

actually, the article is correct, he was using final scratch hardware with traktor software. when traktor scratch showed up, that's when he ditched serato.

i voted Joel because of the ammount of music he has released lately, along with the label he started.

you guys are right though because "bigger" is hard to define. the first thing that came to my mind was production, and thats why I picked Joel.

From a promoters stand point, i fell like andy has much more marketable features.  but i could be mistaken, cuz i am just realizing how big these other cats are, i have know of andy for a while.

Oh... Andy IS marketable. If he wasn't Nettwerk wouldn't have him on their label. But marketable is potential rather than actual.

If I had to guess, I would also guess they weren't, but we don't really know do we?

I have tried several times to contact them. Nobody ever responds. I don't know, but it's just as dangerous to assume that they are. In interviews and given that one track, I highly doubt that they are.

Hey, Dave, when we move to the new site, can we have a "Justice" board? I think they're the most talked about act on Tastyfresh.

I'm shocked that I just saw the results of this poll and Stryke is by far in last. These other jacks may be hot now (and I guess that is what Doug asked for "right NOW") but I am now 35 yrs old and had stuff in my bag from Stryke in the early 90's.. the Acid Musique track of his used to kill it! I don't know, I am pretty much settled into all deep and funky house music now so it is hard to judge these other cats since I'm not purchasing their stuff regularly. I was just surprised because other than Joel, who is definitely way talented as a producer, I hadn't even heard of Shiloh or Andy Hunter until I got on this board. wow

I think it's ok for someone to say, "I don't think they are Christians" or to have an issue with that song.  I just don't like people stating it as a fact that they aren't.

It's kind of a shoot first, ask questions later attitude that scares me.

I don't even care about Justice all that much, but I'm concerned that if that attitude is picked up here, it may eventually be used on an artist I do care about.

Check out the new Stryke on Plastic City "The Narrowest of Paths" I believe it was just released yesterday... it is nice soothing melodic house, really digging where he is going with his newest sounds AND on Plastic City! respect

Actually, my whole point is that people are being a bit "judgemental" towards Justice.

That whole "we should assume they aren't so they can be saved" is a nice warm and fuzzy spin, but I'm curious ...

of the people who really feel that way, who has actually tried to share with them?

Who has actually sent them a myspace message or an email telling them Jesus loves them and what he did for them?

Most of the people seem more interested in making sure everyone knows how dirty and rotten they think they are, more than they really care about their eternal well being.

I don't *think* they're Christians, so yeah I sent them a myspace message.

I told them that as a Christian I appreciated them using Bible words for a few of their song titles, and that's what originally got my attention and drew me to their music.  I told them I thought it was cool that they used the cross for the name of their album, and that it was a pretty cool looking cross on their CD and DJ rig.

I shared with them what the cross means to me, and what Jesus did.

I may not get a response, but that's ok, at least they'll get the message.
