Post by: deeflash on December 23, 2007, 09:52:22 PM Ok, so I have finally started putting those videos into nice little mp4's or .mov's... now the question is, where am I uploading these bad boys??? Just the BTU night is about 70 meg... and 25 minutes long... someone pm or email me a place to upload them and I will start filling up web space and using up bandwidth like crazy! :-)

Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: djdunamis on December 23, 2007, 10:46:51 PM yeah, youtube allows 100 MB per video.
I wouldn't mind having a whole copy of them, would you consider sending via megaupload or similar? Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: Doug Theodore on December 23, 2007, 10:50:11 PM ditto would love copies
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 24, 2007, 09:07:45 AM youtube's limit is 10 minutes... plus I figured most people would want to be able to download them to their pc's ... because I'm saving them in H264 640x380 :-)
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: Christopher Carl on December 24, 2007, 01:53:09 PM how much are the file sizes? I can provide host for people who just want to download them. perhaps I can also start a video section on CTF.
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 24, 2007, 01:54:39 PM The first one was 70meg or so... I think there'll be 4 files in all.. I'll start uploading them to your FTP...
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: Christopher Carl on December 24, 2007, 01:55:46 PM no not yet. I need to give you the "real" ftp info. The one you have is just a temp place so I can transfer.

Post by: djrodimus on December 27, 2007, 08:02:16 AM looks good but the video I uploaded stops playing a few minutes in and then if you seek if plays the video but no audio... yeah i noticed that too...what format is it in? Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: LJ Troll on December 27, 2007, 08:29:58 AM What program do you need to read .avi? I have windows media and ares lite and it doesn't work in either of them :'(
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 27, 2007, 08:41:14 AM try getting vlc! www.videolan.org
I believe it's encoded in Xvid format... Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: Dave Richards on December 27, 2007, 09:23:40 AM what happened to the audio? It dies just a minute or two in.
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 27, 2007, 09:31:13 AM hmm must've been something happened when I was encoding it I guess... I'll reupload a new version...
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 27, 2007, 09:32:00 AM what's a good codec to use? anyone recommend any software to go from iMovie DV to whatever...
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: djrodimus on December 27, 2007, 09:33:21 AM try getting vlc! www.videolan.org I believe it's encoded in Xvid format... vlc is the best! and...the xvid is probably going to be the issues. xvid is a high compression / high quality codec like divx which is great accept it often has compatibility issues during playback. vlc should work fine for playback. as far as uploading it to the site we may have to convert it using a different codec.... do you have the full uncompress video by any chance dee? Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: djrodimus on December 27, 2007, 09:34:06 AM dee do you have nero vision?
Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 27, 2007, 09:58:54 AM nah sorry I don't.... I just have imovie hd on my mac but it's a dual g4 450 so it takes DAYS to convert to something nice like h264... so I used VLC to convert the DV to mpeg and then VirtualDub to convert it to XVid and put the black bars on it so it's a standard size from the widescreen...

Title: Re: Cornerstone Videos!! Post by: deeflash on December 27, 2007, 12:41:54 PM I'll try tonight... thanks...
